Midnight Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (whatever you have left)
  • any spread (peanut butter, marmelade, hummus, be creative)
  • Hot sauce (optional, but highly recommended)
  • Cheese (the more questionable, the better)
  • Leftover veggies (a sad tomato, wilted lettuce, etc.)
  • Anything else you find in the fridge (leftover pizza, a sad avocado, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread until golden and slightly crunchy.
  2. Spread your chosen spread generously, even if it looks like a toddler did it.
  3. Add any fridge finds, leftover pizza, a sad avocado, or that cheese you forgot about.
  4. If you have a microwave, heat it up for 30 seconds to make it all melty and gooey.
  5. Press together, slice in half, and drizzle with hot sauce if desired.
  6. Eat immediately—preferably while standing in the kitchen, pondering your next big idea.
